Just remember one thing when dealing with Qualcomm chips. They don't have el2. And this means no kvm...

And instead you sometimes get that awkward qc hypervisor in el2.

What if there was a possibility to buy used macbook air or pro with smashed screen or case and reuse it's internals in Next ?
That would be hell of a laptop.
@AsahiLinux has great support for most of the crucial parts of hw already.

No, the one in pinephones is also not fully open. Even if they say so only the userspace part has been replaced. But it still has internal, linux based closed firmware which is responsible for cellular communications.
