I was in Tesco and there were posters up, printed by Tesco, expressly asking people to buy toys in the shop and donate them there for kids in need at Christmas.

I just thought, “We could cut out the middleman here and you could just do that, Tesco. You get the toys cheaper anyway. Because this just feels like you’re profiting from children’s poverty.”

30 trillion cells in my body are human, whatever that means, and 38 trillion are various bacteria! There are a bunch of viruses too which are currently impacting my functionality!

I am 68 trillion microorganisms in a trench coat which results in a sort of self-propelling, self-replicating digestion tube, but I am paid to act as if I am a clean, rational, thinking machine!

This is very stressful for all 68 trillion of us, so sometimes we complain about it on the internet.

When you die, nobody will remember:
- Your salary
- Your fancy title
- How ‘busy’ you were
- How stressed you were
- How many hours you worked

People will remember:
- Your shitposts

- Frogs do not allow you to gradually boil them.

- Lemmings do not commit mass suicide.

- Ostriches do not stick their heads in the sand.

- Newts do not confuse weather and climate.

- Moose do not get their news from Facebook.

- Naked mole rats do not kid themselves that they live in the greatest democracy in the world when in fact they live in a two-party oligarchy with every representative dependent on huge donations from the superrich.

- Cassowaries are not particularly impressed by AI.

This looks like a massive breach of UK #GDPR and the Article 8 right to #privacy. There is no possible way that this can be justified. I hope that complaints have been made to the UK Information Commissioner and that they will be investigated.

That isn’t how data protection works. It doesn’t matter if the information is public, you still need a lawful basis for processing it.

A key aspect of #dataprotection is just because information is public or made available to you, it doesn’t mean you get to do whatever you want with it.

For example, when an employee tells you they went on holiday with their family or they’ve been arguing with their spouse, it doesn’t mean you get to assemble a dossier on all the personal information you have and share it in the staff intranet with other managers. As H&M did, and were fined €35m.

68yo #TrudiWarner is being prosecuted for contempt of court for holding a sign informing jurors of their right to acquit on conscience, outside a trial of environmental protestors at Inner London Crown Court.

If the trial had been held at the Central Criminal Court, (the #OldBailey ) 1.5 miles north, jurors would have been able to read the plaque outside telling them about this right and its origin in Bushel’s Case, 1670.
