NickA key aspect of #dataprotection is just because information is public or made available to you, it doesn’t mean you get to do whatever you want with it.
For example, when an employee tells you they went on holiday with their family or they’ve been arguing with their spouse, it doesn’t mean you get to assemble a dossier on all the personal information you have and share it in the staff intranet with other managers. As H&M did, and were fined €35m.
