Prototype for a new @mntmn Pocket lid from JLC. Their laser engraving is great and quite deep. Me idiot selected the wrong surface finish tho (should have selected ‘polished’) #mnt

After procrastinating for almost 2 months I found the time to write the post about my custom lid for the @mntmn Pocket Reform. It decreases the full load CPU and SOC temperature by 30 degrees while keeping the WiFi functional!

A big thanks goes to @fesix who did most of the work for me (I was just the nagging child wanting things...)

First prototype for the @mntmn Pocket Reform Mod worked very well, so @fesix helped me to prepare a final one. Maybe I have a little write up on the MNT forum on Sunday.

@noiob @mntmn so there are 2 special keys on the MNT? the mentioned arrow key and the MNT-logo key? What is the MNT Key doing or is it similar to the command on Mac or the Windows Key on Windows PCs?

@mntmn u plan to do a printed version for the pocket too?

@mntmn why not put the board below/above the keyboard pcb? Then you would have more space for even more batteries or something else?

@mntmn would blender 3.x work? I guess the gpu on the mnt ist not supported?

@mntmn oh does the pocket get a headphone jack 🥰? I thought it comes without?

@mntmn Have u actually decided what color you will use for the coating? Most pictures show lavender but at HiP and in ur current picture you are using a black coating.
