current layout idea for MNT Reform Next. the motherboard is tiny and upside down, cpu will connect thermally to the metal case bottom. SSD is 2242. motherboard has no end connectors, instead an array of JST-SH breakouts that connect to port farm PCBs under the keyboard (in 3 locations, theoretically).

pandora (pandora@chaos.social)'s status on Wednesday, 14-Feb-2024 00:37:14 JST pandora @mntmn why not put the board below/above the keyboard pcb? Then you would have more space for even more batteries or something else?

pff (pff@mastodon.social)'s status on Wednesday, 14-Feb-2024 03:54:43 JST pff @mntmn I like the idea of a motherboard with no end connectors, just breakouts. We could fit it in many different style cases (like the Novena laptop case, etc...)
