   current layout idea for MNT Reform Next. the motherboard is tiny and upside down, cpu will connect thermally to the metal case bottom. SSD is 2242. motherboard has no end connectors, instead an array of JST-SH breakouts that connect to port farm PCBs under the keyboard (in 3 locations, theoretically).

     @mntmn why not put the board below/above the keyboard pcb? Then you would have more space for even more batteries or something else?

     @mntmn I like the idea of a motherboard with no end connectors, just breakouts. We could fit it in many different style cases (like the Novena laptop case, etc...)

     @senzilla fpc is kind of brittle and harder to shield and to repair vs well made cables, imho

     @mntmn Isn't it more common to do breakouts of this nature with something like FPC connectors? What's the advantage with JST-SH?
