So much happened today, it felt like 3 days.
A lot of fun to be had with the eclipse sillyness today :D
Although, the sign is clear, disaster is a head for the states. Probably an Earth quake in the center of the country. A chain reaction of water supply disruption, racial violence, and government oppression.
I suspect that it will be fulfilled in this period.
However, Jesus takes care of His friends. And, if you are walking with Him there is nothing to fear. In fact, it will even be fun.

There was something a long time ago, it was a girl asking a guy "why don't you pay me more attention?!"
And, he replied "you couldn't handle all of my attention!"

@MK2boogaloo real friendships, can only be forged when both people are being honest about their values and beliefs. And, if both sides can respect what is presented, then a friendship is formed.
There is one person in particular here on fedi, and we are just so, different in so many different ways, important ways even. But, I know they want what is good for me, and that seems to cover an ocean of differences xD (make that two people on fedi)

Can always ask God for friends.
Though the IRL "friends" I made in 2023, all forced me to choose between them and Jesus... which was very surreal (I guess the black guy didn't, he just moved in with a drug dealer lol!)
Maybe I'll give it another go this year, but honestly, it is a polarization problem. Everyone just, so strongly insists on ideological synchronization, that I keep having to choose between conforming, and isolation xD
Though, I think I've made the correct choices so far.
Even though the last batch all washed out, I probably should ask God for friends again. I did have quite a bit of fun, before I was forced to choose xD

@e3ea @MK2boogaloo I wouldn't say that, I've been getting into building useful things IRL, and well, it has been a lot of fun, even if I am doing it by myself.
But, I suspect, that if I had some build buddies, we could really make some cool shit xD Would be even more fun as well.

People just, like you or they don't. If they don't it doesn't matter what you do, you wont be able to keep them, and if they do, then you can get away with just being yourself.

Same. I tried a lot to make IRL friend in the last year, but it did not go well lol. I felt a lot of my joy return after about 2 weeks, after I got away from the last of them xD
The real time polarization of, well everyone is something world wide I suspect.
And, so it sounds corny, but my fedi friends are great, by any standard :D

@branman65 for some reason, people can't seem to improve the translation with more attempts. Even ones that fix some errors like the BSB, introduce new errors that weren't there before xD

@branman65 true, but, really, no matter the translation, I often get the sneaking suspicion that they are translating something wrong. And, have often confirmed as much xD
An interlinear Greek Hebrew study bible, and an interlinear Apostolic study bible, go a long way to getting you to the truth.

@RehnSturm256 I don't feel like the storm cloaks represent the former. Their city is an alien infested murder zone.
In general, both sides seemed to promise ruin to Skyrim.
I don't believe in false choices, if I must be against the world, then I will be against the world.
And so, in my many play throughs, I simply do not join either side.
What is that game?... starts with an E... Elex! In that game, I hated all the sides so much, that I attempted to play without joining any of them. But, the game has everything locked behind faction quests. So, I just stopped playing xD
One of my favorite things about Skyrim, is, it doesn't FORCE you to choose a side.

@RehnSturm256 To grow your own food, to build your own house, you craft your cloths and furniture... These all seems like wonderful things to me xD
By comparison, I see very little value, or enjoyment to be had in the paradigm of hyper specialization.
And more fundamentally, there is no reason why you can't learn, and master all of these things yourself.
What I am finding again, and again, is that, everything is actually easy and simple, but every one wants to teach you lies about it, and present huge, costly barriers to entry.
My current projects, and are essentially green field projects, because the grandparents all died without passing anything on to the next generation.
But, it is obvious, that, a homestead and home library, could be brought to an easy to self sustain, easy to pass on level, within 1 generation.
However, it requires recognizing that the modern approaches, the things taught in colleges and universities, are mostly error. If you only stick to the main stream, even 200 years probably wouldn't be enough to build up a robust homestead.

@branman65 most of the issue, seem to be, people practice legalism, but claim it isn't legalism.
Almost everyone has a nice little definition of legalism, that they keep in a box, and there is never any danger of entering into it.
But, their reality, is 100% legalism, all day, every day xD

@Dullahan Yes, you also discover the second secret... that most of the people that will want to work for you, also have mental illness xD
The big problem there is, once you are the employer, it can be hard to tell which ones are bad apples.
