Giving proprietary software vendors permission to insert whatever they please into your kernel, especially with the ability to auto update it, means giving up all control of your system to that software vendor. One day CrowdStrike, the next Riot Vanguard. Don't let this garbage into your system! A game is not worth losing your system or your data over.

Blender runs pretty well on my OnePlus 6T. That chip is newer but if Freedreno supports its variant of the Adreno GPU I see no reason it wouldn't run Blender well. Side note, I really want a Fairphone 5 but they're not sold in the US :( I may have to pay the exorbitant import cost, having a new, modern pmOS supported phone would be excellent.
