@aral Did they kidnap her from the street to remove the implant? I can't imagine that I would voluntarily go into the hospital for such a procedure.

I help people make various online accounts almost every day, and for most people, being memorable is the most important thing. The name of the hospital they were born in is a go-to for them, the name of their high school is a second choice. They are typically people who have already created an account and can't retrieve it.

Media corporations depend on copyright to produce intellectual property which they can then collect rent on for a century plus. Without an author, they no longer have IP to exploit. This means they must hire a human being to produce the product they rent out. Guaranteed the media corps will be bribing the USSC to overturn the decision.
