@arstechnica Not the only bottleneck. There's evidence of one just a few thousand years ago, and another about 70,000 years ago.
@arstechnica I'm actually a bit confused because supposedly the minimum amount number of humans required to maintain sufficient DNA diversity is around 2000 or so and 1280 is significantly lower than 2000. Either way I suppose I'm personally grateful we pulled through. I guess. ... ...... I think.
