@itsfoss I've got a few distros for beginners I recommend:
- Tuxedo OS
- Bazzite, Aurora, and Bluefin
- Pop!_OS (but not until 24.04 or whatever the first version with COSMIC is called is released)
- Linux Mint (but only the Cinnamon version and only for some users because of some issues with Cinnamon and the software store)

I don't recommend for beginners:
- Ubuntu or any of their official flavors
- Zorin OS
- Manjaro
- Anything Arch based
- Any distro without a graphical package manager

Just one error; the Linux kernel is a monolithic kernel, not a hybrid kernel like macOS or Windows NT, and not a microkernel like Redox OS.

@aral I'm not sure I follow. I saw the "argument", and I don't see why it happened in the first place.

Also, in the US, what does that leave you with? Just @frameworkcomputer That's not a lot of options.

@aral Shame they got rid of the 3k option. Looks like I'll have to get a Windows option and put Linux on it... Now there's no 1 TB or 2 TB of storage option. Looks like I'll have to pass... Any other good options that are functional with Linux?

@aral RHEL is worse. It's literally an IBM Linux system now.

@libreoffice I actually knew that already. I use it all the time!

@kev @itsfoss Not to mention all of the 503 errors I get on over half of their articles! I mean, this has been happening for over a YEAR; come on!
