    Finding it kind of interesting to look into Touhou songs that directly parody/take inspiration from non-Touhou tracks. For example here, Gate of Forbidden, obviously a take on Hacking to the Gate.

    @Shizu Use THCRAP, it patches games on the fly to use fan translations. It's what's been used as of recent in place of static patches (you can still download offline versions). Really easy to use since all it needs is the game's directory.

    Another small write up, this time for Yoiyami Densetsu. I'm saddened that I have so little to say on this game, but it's a Rumia game so I enjoy it nonetheless. Hope this gets at least somebody else to play this game, it's absolutely worth the short time investment as a Touhou fan.

    Well, even if the Japanese complained (which I'm not fully certain they didn't), that's not where the money is for these companies. In Japan, good launch sales is like 20k copies, peak sales is at least 100k. Compare that to releasing in the Americas and Europe where 100k sales is the base standard for barely passable launch window sales.
    They've been listening to their own country less and less because the big money isn't in Japan's game market, as fucked as that is. Who cares about complaints from the a country with low sales numbers anyways when you're a global company? Most smaller publishers follow along since they love the scent of money just as much.

    @Meemoo While I feel like more ambiguous morals can be done well in a story, yeah no fuck most modern authors. Everyone is either always awful or constantly in a grey area because nobody likes to be happy. Yet, a grey can only exist so long as there's a black and white to contrast it with. :flan_yea: It's like those fucks that claim to be "deconstructing tropes and genres." You aren't deconstructing anything without recognizing the works and respecting what came before. Never mind that they often deconstruct something that has been deconstructed much better before, digging at the dirt and half-assedly claiming they did the job of another.
