@mntmn treesitter mode for C/C++ is probably worth a try.
Doesn't use a separate process but you need to download and build an .so and put it where emacs can find it (can be done interactively when on a GNU/linux or unix-based OS)
My experience with installing treesitter modes here: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/help-gnu-emacs/2024-06/msg00054.html
@mntmn Well if it isn't there, it can't be highjacked.
On the other hand it would be nice not to have to rely on an external thing to be able to do a video conversation.
(So I guess... I'm not really helpful here...?)
@mntmn Well... emacs is known as the kitchen sink...
@mntmn My bank SBanken offered credit card sized scraping code cards as an option (not the only option, but an option).
But then they were bought by the bank I had switched to SBanken to escape (back in 2004 or thereabouts)... and the analog 2Factor option went away.
Not the only change I'm not happy with, but the one that annoyed me most, I think.
On the morning commute everybody is sucked into their smartphones.
Except the software developer (me) who reads a paper newspaper.
@mntmn Best thinking tool there is!
While we're at it: take iPads and phones out of schools and give them pencil and paper!
(So there! (said the old, old, man))
@eff My first thought was that "I don't have anything there that'll miss".
But storage space is cheap these days and in the interest of preserving history I've requested an archive download.
@pixelfed I think the possibility to restore a username will be a good thing.
@arek The monitor on this rPi is from 1998 https://steinar.bang.priv.no/2016/05/06/using-a-raspberry-pi-2-model-b-as-a-routerfirewall-for-the-home-lan/ so that would make it 26 years old or thereabouts.
@pixelfed Is "Update PhotoAlbumPresenter.vue, fix fullscreen mode (822e9888)" this one https://github.com/pixelfed/pixelfed/issues/4716 ?
If so: nice! 👏 👍
@mntmn Hm, new one to me. https://aerc-mail.org/
Not emacs, but terminal based.
It has JMAP which is kind of cool if one has to work from behind corporate firewalls (but you need a JMAP server as well and that I don't have).
@mntmn w3m looks like emacs?
What MUA?
@mntmn Oooh that takes me down memory lane https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_80186
Microcontroller variant of 8088 which in turn was a variant of 8086 (8086 with 8 bit external bus instead of 16 bit external bus).
8086 in turned, borrowed a lot from the 8-bit 8085.
And I have done a lot of 8085 assembly programming, heh... 30-40 years ago... how time flies!
@mntmn @gnomon It triggers recalculation when you leave a cell (once the row and column formulas are in place).
Setting up the formulas can be a bit non-intuitive (sometimes the formulas created from ":=" or "=" needs a little manual tweaking), but once they are in place recalculation works sweet for my purposes.
But it's not easily separable form the rest of org-mode I think.
Of course org-mode is where I organize my life anyway...
@mntmn M68k 4ever!
@mntmn Don't cross the usb3 RX/TX?
It would be bad!
@arek Not that I have actually tried it, but isn't what you descrbie what @peertube aims to be? https://fediverse.party/en/peertube/
