I experimented with xttsv2 (check alltalk_tts if you want to play with it) on tge weekend and it always hits me so hard that we have most of the software in the open source but we severely lack the means of integration.

Why this? And why put the key in the filesystem? This makes it very tedious to achieve sufficient overall security in terms of confidentiality of the key.
Why not create a strong key and put it in a safeguarded Container and inject it into ssh-agent from there?
