@tyler @PeachySummer I turned 47 this year, don't give me that sh it.
-
I will never buy a Miller Lite again in my life, solely because of these radio commercials. Holy shit this is obnoxious.
-
@dcc sometimes a drastic change is required. Sometimes, you need to yank the steering wheel to avoid a genuine catastrophe. Sometimes the emotional reaction is the only honest one.
-
Maybe tomorrow is a turning point in my life. Maybe not. Maybe this is my last post before I f take one too many steps and stand on the tracks. Maybe its just another Friday. In reality every post is this way.
I embrace the life of the explosive ordinance disposal unit: either I'm right, or it isn't my problem anymore.

@privateger I like PHP and I like my tobacco. Accurate.
-
@Zergling_man @MK2boogaloo @rher counterpoint: Emi is fun and getting to know what makes her tick is very satisfying. Plus you've got a guaranteed workout buddy for life, and that's priceless.
-
@Zergling_man @MK2boogaloo @rher Emi forever.
-
@Tony my wife's birthday: vacation to visit family for a week, eating takeout, hotel room to fuck in peace.
My birthday: decent bottle of whiskey and like a Wendy's burger
-
@MK2boogaloo I do, but not in the way that you mean.
I was raised Christian, I have gold baubles from my confirmation to prove it. But the message never stuck for me; there was never any comfort in "let go and let God" or anything like that. Besides that, I never felt right abdicating responsibility for my actions onto someone else. I'll accept my own consequences for my own actions, whatever they might be. Anything else feels dishonest to me.
I do think there's a super-natural force/power/entity that is aware and influential, but I don't believe that there's any sort of redemption or even concern for the affairs of humanity at that level. "God" in my view doesn't concern themselves with any species much less any individual. The fate of a planetary ecosystem, then maybe, but even that is borderline. Their concerns are much broader and general. In short, you could call it some type of wishy-washy Deism if you like.
-
@MK2boogaloo never was.
-
So, how's Monday treating you? I'm getting the chew toy treatment over here.

@raccoon @dushman @radmin @meso @adiz real talk if he's advocating a Google browser he's literally compromised and I don't know how else to express this. I don't care how bad Firefox performance is, or how goofy their corporate direction is, or what the fuck side project they decided to piss away another hundred million dollars into, at the end of the day the only thing that matters is that "this isn't google" because google is the enemy of humanity and society in general.
-
@adiz @dushman @raccoon @radmin @meso dush is a google bot, opinions immediately disregarded
-
@Tsuki I might have 25 left. Or fewer, who knows.
-
@Tsuki she's the better ¾ of the relationship anyway. She'll land on her feet.
-
@adiz @dcc I picked ejabberd in part because I already had an erlang toolchain from Pleroma so something something dovetail
-
@adiz @dcc (replying just to untag someone who asked) yeah ejabberd is crazy light-weight in terms of resources
-
@sapphire @dcc @shibao @adiz @j0 I run a dozen services including pleroma, conduit, postgres, etc. on 4GB of memory!
-
@dcc @shibao @adiz @j0 I don't care if its the main stream implementation, I'm not installing synapse and coping with a bloated ass python application running on my server.
-
@sapphire @dcc @shibao @adiz @j0 I run this thing hard man, I get every plug nickel out of my VPS
