I like Christmas in the idea of putting up a tree and having a good lunch or dinner with your (not extended) family or some friends.
I like giving and receiving gifts, but I abhor the feeling that I HAVE to get something for someone when I have no idea what they want or need.
And gift cards are lame. You might as well just hand them cash if you're going that route.

Also, my family always waits until the week before to get a tree for some dumb reason, and has no problem complaining how tough it is to find a tree at that point. If you tell me to buy a fake tree, you are what's wrong with society.

I have found to be correct in most cases. For me, I still use windows in a vm for my 3D modeling and a couple weird old pieces of software. I’ve never had luck with wine for those. It makes sense for me to have a windows box for those situations. That way, I can do steam play and something like just teamviewer or a foss Remote Desktop app

I’m putting together a windows gaming box finally so I can just use the steam play thing at my Linux machine. It makes me sad, but I know all my games should work perfect and I won’t need to touch windows unless it’s necessary.

Just trying to decide if I want windows 10 or 11 at this point. I’m thinking 10. 7 would be good if support wasn’t beginning to drop off.
