Why is it when I meet sighted people who I haven't seen in a long time they play games with me? I don't want to have to fucking guess who you are. If I don't remember, I don't remember. Stop toying with me! It's disrespectful and sighted people wouldn't treat another sighted person the same way so why me because I'm blind? It's some bullshit and I will not have it! Either tell me who you are in person or do not speak with me at all. Don't ever play games with me unless they're on my terms. Full stop.

@hartgenconsult Now that is genius. All of these scripts make things a lot easier to use at least, that's what I remember from using my computer.

@BorrisInABox I love ducks. I will always have a love for ducks. When I was in pre-school, we had a fish pond and during the hot month, ducks would come and they would play with me. Very nice animals. I don't even know how I remember this.

@devinprater To me, that operating system in particular is for the extreme computer nerds who know basically everything there is to know about controling and programming computers to do their bidding. It just sounds foreign to me because I'm a Windows user and I care only about the end-user experience.

@ianp5a @devinprater Blind guy so viscual stuff wouldn't work for me but I get your point. To be fair, I've been using windows since I was 5 years old so its hard for me not to get attached to something I know works and can give me the stuff I need.

I'm sorry to all my friends who have been receiving abuse by these terminally online folks. I have taken the action to report these people to the moderators and I can only hope this works. Will I change my opinions? Not in the slightest but when people start abusing my friends, that's when they've fucked up. there is no compromise.

@AdaraAstin I've never thought about it that way. Personally, I've never considered myself conventionally attractive though that could be because I am my own harshest critic. Now, I'm not saying I don't have anything. I couldn't have gone on dates if I was absolutely awful with my looks. Still, it is difficult to judge what others think of you when you are blind and most of the world cares about looks first.

@AdaraAstin I've been led to believe the opposite. Making a good first impression is a great thing and honestly, I just can't tell if I'm good enough because the women I've dated casually were not direct. I don't really understand the standard of men having to be direct with what they like when we don't get the same in return and have to play the guessing game. I know it sounds like I'm projecting but it hurts not to know and only find out later that the person you thought you liked only liked you as a friend. I am having to deal with that this year and I gotta tell you, it really hurts because I really fell hard. First time really happening for me too.

@AdaraAstin It sure doesn't feel that way at the moment, even though she was gentle in letting me down, it still feels like I've been hit with a semi-truck.

You know something? I love this instance. Most people here are very friendly and I'm just happy to have a place where I get to express myself in whichever way I wish. Thank you, my friends, for helping me to be who I am as a person and if you read posts where people reply to me in harsh manners, its only because the people replying think its the 1860's and not 2023 where standards have changed.
