Still doesn't justify you defending pedos tho. - Ardainian Hebrew Israelite likes this.

To be fair, I've been using windows since I was 5 years old so its hard for me not to get attached to something I know works and can give me the stuff I need.

I'm sure there are nerdy versions, but I'm not a computer or IT person, and usability is very important to me as a mouse user. So command line or nerdy things are totally out of the question. In fact I like that I can choose a really good visual desktop system to suit me best. That's not so easy on Windows, which I have to use at work.
Take a look. -

It just sounds foreign to me because I'm a Windows user and I care only about the end-user experience.

Devin Prater (devinprater@tweesecake.social)'s status on Sunday, 18-Jun-2023 08:40:59 JST Devin Prater Y'all may be wondering why I feel so strongly about Linux and FOSS. I've thought about it. You know how Mastodon is now a very accessible, for the blind, social network? It wasn't always like that. But over the years, the open API has meant that blind people have made their own Mastodon clients, like Tweesecake and TWBlue. Sighted people have made their Mastodon clients accessible, like Mona and Tusky. I see so many pictures on Mastodon that has descriptions that I have to remind myself that an actual person spent time out of their day to craft a description for us. And I think to myself, "What if that could happen to Linux?"
