     @gocu54 I'm sorry to hear that, Nick. That's difficult to go through. Yes, it does really hurt.

     Dating and relationships really does get better with time and age. Know one is born knowing how to do it, and most people in their 20s are learning, at each other's expense. People get more compassionate and more skillful, at least the best ones do, and it all gets easier.

     @AdaraAstin I've been led to believe the opposite. Making a good first impression is a great thing and honestly, I just can't tell if I'm good enough because the women I've dated casually were not direct. I don't really understand the standard of men having to be direct with what they like when we don't get the same in return and have to play the guessing game. I know it sounds like I'm projecting but it hurts not to know and only find out later that the person you thought you liked only liked you as a friend. I am having to deal with that this year and I gotta tell you, it really hurts because I really fell hard. First time really happening for me too.

     @gocu54 Looks can spark superficial attraction but they aren't sustainable grounds for a meaningful friendship or romantic relationship. Who you are and what you do is what ultimately matters.

     @AdaraAstin I've never thought about it that way. Personally, I've never considered myself conventionally attractive though that could be because I am my own harshest critic. Now, I'm not saying I don't have anything. I couldn't have gone on dates if I was absolutely awful with my looks. Still, it is difficult to judge what others think of you when you are blind and most of the world cares about looks first.
