When modern libs compare him favorably to Trump, it makes me sick; Trump ain't perfect, but he was infinitely better for America than Bush was (or his bastard father for that matter). -

@ArdainianRight @hachi Honestly, we probobly pretty much agree on that. I think that pressuring children to make irreversible changes to their body at ages where they cannot realistically understand who they are yet or what they're feeling is a recipe for physical and psychological disaster, and the detransition movement exists for a reason.
Some adults don't even really know themselves. I say this as an almost 29 year old now heterosexual identifying man who believed he was gay for most of his adult life. But once you're an adult, far as I'm concerned those choices are yours to make. -

@ArdainianRight @hachi I've known enough Transwomen IRL to be fairly comfortable in my opinion that Chris Chan is nothing like them, I don't discount there are some like that, I think the problem of "Transtrenders," is real and there may indeed be some grooming going on; but I'm still of the mind it's the exception, not the rule. But I've been around trans people for a long time, and have a trans sibling so I acknowledge my biases.
That being said, I'm realistic in that I don't expect to change your mind, nor preach to you. You've come to your conclusions and I've come to mine, I'm good to leave it at that.
(I also don't want to make it sound like I'm on the same side as the Bee person, because on most issues I'm not). -

Chris Chan is not a Transwoman though. He's a mentally ill pervert who pretends to be Trans because he sees it a way to have access to lesbians; he has openly admitted this, both explicitly and implicitly; and I consider it offensive to the struggles of actual Trans people to compare them to someone like Chris. -

@ArdainianRight Thinking optimistically for a moment:
- There's no confirmation that Barb is *necessarily* still in the house, there's that one photo of her at the window but that was months ago, there's a possibility she could have been moved to a senior care home/with family/etc. at this point.
- Just because Chris was there doesn't necessarily mean he's staying there, he could have been there to pick up some stuff to take back to his new place, possibly the group home he's theoretically at.
- I know there's other photos of him in Ruckersville, but just because he's in town doesn't mean he's staying.
We gotta wait for more info before freaking out, but the fact that he was let within 100 miles of the place would prove the Virginia justice system is a joke (I say "would," because I figure that's a given at this point). -

without "clover leaves," a lot of high-traffic highway exits will get so backed up they'll disrupt traffic on the street.
There used to be this on-ramp, not far from where I used to live, where the highway was pretty close to a train station (as in an intra-city train station) and between the train stopping traffic on the road, and cars backed up getting on the freeway, the street would backed up for miles sometimes. -

I hate to sound like a millennial, but once I get a new car and/or replace the stereo in my current car with one I can link to my phone, I can probobly justify investing in premium Spotify, and just stop buying CDs.
I will keep buying vinyl until the day I die, partially because I just like collecting records, and partially because I still find them the best option for home listening; but lugging the binders of CDs in my car is something that has worn thin in the last few years.

@jeffcliff @PinochetsCommieCopter Speaking as someone both pro-choice and anti-open borders; I believe very strongly in a person's right to bodily autonomy without control by a state or local government, and also identify that borders are what defines a country. My issue with open borders isn't even really about immigration, it's more about the labor exploitation of immigrants by corpos that open-border policies facilitate, and the reality that a lot of it is a front for human trafficking.
Having more or less people doesn't really factor into either argument for me. -
