Gratuitous kitchen pic. Changed the position of the instantaneous water heater so that one can reach it without stretching below the (future) counter.

Also, the kitchen is a mess, but the cupboard has a new coat of paint and handles.

That scale of abuse of power freaked me out. He would effectively disable my house indefinitely because I called for a fault that wasn't (in his opinion) a fault.

He said, I'm wasting an emergency response technician for something not emergency. Which is kind of true, but if you postpone a non-emergency long enough it will become one, and I've waited a year or so.

I swapped the sink with a bigger one I found (these marble sinks were in most apartments in the 50s and 60s and now people throw them away when renovating, so I salvaged two of them from the sidewalk). It's whiter and wider and I'm very happy with the change.

Oh and I brought the coffee machine and installed a new shelf to put it on.

Staircase is finished, photo when I tidy it up, but I got a new lampshade. I'm trying to buy as few things as possible and most things here were either in the house when I bought it, I had them, or found them, but yesterday I wanted to buy something, so there it is.

This is what waking up in the little house looks like

Oof. I have contacted the utility company to come change my meter and upgrade my capacity many months ago. I missed their call while riding and called back 9 minutes later, while my dad was waiting *outside* the house. They haven't tried to visit again for months. I called and called and there's no way to reach the engineering department. It's just their callcenter adding tickets to a case that's obviously lost.

Today I tried to call the faults (is that the right name?) department on the pretext that the utility box is dangerous as it's missing its cover, to see if I can shake things up.

The technician came and was furious that I called them without being an emergency, and said "well you have power, no? It's not a fault, wrong department". I made the mistake to argue and then he turned around and said, ok, this is so dangerous, I will have to cut the power.

Knowing their response rate for reconnections I freaked out and kicked him out of the house (fortunately the utility box is *inside* the house, something that's usually no longer the case). He left saying he'll call the police.

I also found this cabinet that looks like very old office equipment, which has a lovely rolling shutter in front (which is broken, but repairable). I was very happy because it was just the right size to fit between the hanger and closet.

When I tried it however, it felt too cluttered so here it is, on the other side of the imaginary bed.

I renovated the old breadbox I found in the house by blasting it with salt. Sadly no "before" pic.

And I got the shower divider installed at last. Now the people downstairs won't shower as well 🤣

Staircase only needs varnish now.
