Oof. I have contacted the utility company to come change my meter and upgrade my capacity many months ago. I missed their call while riding and called back 9 minutes later, while my dad was waiting *outside* the house. They haven't tried to visit again for months. I called and called and there's no way to reach the engineering department. It's just their callcenter adding tickets to a case that's obviously lost.
Today I tried to call the faults (is that the right name?) department on the pretext that the utility box is dangerous as it's missing its cover, to see if I can shake things up.
The technician came and was furious that I called them without being an emergency, and said "well you have power, no? It's not a fault, wrong department". I made the mistake to argue and then he turned around and said, ok, this is so dangerous, I will have to cut the power.
Knowing their response rate for reconnections I freaked out and kicked him out of the house (fortunately the utility box is *inside* the house, something that's usually no longer the case). He left saying he'll call the police.
