These deals aren't that good. I got DMC5 for $5 during the Christmas sale. P3P and PS4 were both five buck like a month or two ago. I pirated Deathsmiles over 10 years ago when there was only a fan translation. A bunch of these games I have on gameboy, SNES, PS, and PS2.

You should pick up that Final Fantasy Legends/SaGa collection if you haven't played them. Also the Final Fantasy Pixel remakes are amazing. They have some massive quality of life improvements, although I wish they had included the CG movies from the Playstation ports, they used the improved scripts that were made for the GBA ports, and they also made a pixel remake of V: Interlude and V:After Years.

Big ups for putting Catherine classic on sale without the troon character.

The vax was the great filter. All of the ones actually worth a damn refused to be pressured by the media into taking it. I was on OKCupid during the whole vax thing and basically every woman had the vax sticker on their profiles. The ones that didn't were legit keepers, but out of my pay grade.

Checked out the first couple of episodes of the anime and it is simply just not as good as the manga. The pacing is way off because of how much filler they need to pad the running time. Each chapter of the manga is very brief, but the way they measure out the story per panel and page is just about perfect. There is a very distinct tempo that just works in the manga and doesn't translate well to the anime.
The manga can be likened to the way a noh theater production presents itself. Wherein every line is measured as if there is a beats of the drum and clap of the wood blocks in your mind setting everything to a specific rhythm that harmonizes and pulls you, as the viewer, into the beats of the story. The exaggerated and drawn out boke of Elda compared to the fast pitched tsukomi of Koito don't lend themselves to this particular format and suffer for it. It has a very traditional comedy feel that the anime just fails to capture properly by dragging out to 24 minutes.
This would have worked much better as a series of short form interstitial anime between 6-12 minutes with a OVA or ONA serving as a expositional lore dump for the longer and more important stories.

How is that a hot take? Before the prequels everyone said that the 3rd(ep6) was the worst. The hot debate was about whether New Hope or Empire was better. Hell I was a kid when Return came out and I still didn't like it as much as Empire.
