@coolboymew In the olde days my favorite trick was to get a slabbed wrapping of of laserprinter paper from the company cupboard to raise my monitor to the right height!

Eventually I'm sure it got used properly.

@coolboymew There is a pretty good C compiler that should work on PC-88. I've used it to build TRS-80 games there are some graphics libraries, etc. Haven't tried on PC-88 emu tho'.

Kinda got our CTO at the time a little upset! I explained that those Windows releases were horrible and were of "Colecovision quality!"

Now uSoft's OS releases seem great but their etiquette is horrible.

@Pawlicker @ChristiJunior @coolboymew Nahhh the college crowd is a mixed bag.... lots of creative people on campus some graduate some don't but it's actually a great place to mix things up if you're creative.

The unusual upper division classes really get things going too... lots of crazy ppl show up in those it's great.

What you need is gangs of nuts trying new things, some outside a co on their own, some inside a company... depending on their personalities, etc. That's how it works

If you hire folks to do "same as everyone else" work then you get sumthin like an old employer of mine, Disney, who never really does anything uniquely fun / original

@coolboymew Oh no he did this... these were pretty expensive I remember when they came out - resolution was low and yikes... at the time wondered why they even released them!

Was a nice idea tho'. I worked on dithering software for a much better hi-res Seiko printer around 1990 at Everex at my first real software gig. Was a blast.

Am really into dot-matrix printers+pen plotters here. Yeah I know... why? Coz they're very mechanical and kewl.

@coolboymew Mattel Football II was awesome but my favorites were Battlestar Galactica in LEDs and these... which I have a couple of that need repair.
