Apple is revealing their iPhone 16 on Monday. It could be a big thing. The last one had USB-C, so maybe this one could feature a company that pays taxes.
All over the world, voters should beware, that whenever politicians talk about immigrants, it is because they have no solutions to the problems that matter most.
Healthcare crisis in the UK? Talk about immigrants.
Children getting shot because of idiotic gun laws in the US? Talk about immigrants.
"Look over there! Someone is coming to eat your cake!", is the oldest trick in the book, and politicians use it for the sole purpose of moving attention away from their own political incompetence.
Bullet 1: Led by Netanyahu, Israel has killed 14,000 children, and 9,000 women in Gaza. And now Netanyahu ends press freedom by shutting down media and seizing their equipment.
Bullet 2: ICC prepares arrest order of Israeli leaders for their actions, and Netanyahu calls it a lasting stain on justice.
I find it despicable, how the idiots of our time destroy art to get attention.
Yesterday at Trinity College, Cambridge, an idiot destroyed the historic painting of Lord Balfour from 1914, claiming that this would somehow help Gaza.
No cause entitles anyone to destroy the artworks which educate future generations about our past.
I am speechless. Allie Phillips speaks at a US Senate hearing on abortion, and recounts how the draconian anti-abortion laws of Tennessee sent her across state borders to save her life, enduring even more suffering on top of the extremely painful experience of losing her unborn child.
I find it appalling how ignorant, male, Republican lawmakers drag their 18th century views into the present to make modern women suffer this way. Shame on them.
Finally! The 25th of December — that wonderful day where American right wingers celebrate a hero from The Middle East, and his message of compassion for strangers, before they go back to supporting their orange hero and his promise of mass deportations.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog claims Palestinians are collectively responsible for the Hamas attacks and says civilians could not have been unaware of the planned attacks.
I strongly disagree, because even the Israeli intelligence service Mosad did not know.
Trying to justify collective punishment reveals a complete lack of morals.
@Gargron thank you Eugen. That makes a lot of sense. I remember how the follow function on Twitter was abused by pornographic accounts to get attention. That was quite annoying.
However, the current error message is not accurate then. Could a solution be to add a "Read more" link to the message?
Alternatively, I believe updating the error message to explain the exact rule would be helpful.
I have really come to love Mastodon. So much so, I have followed everyone I found interesting, and everyone who has followed me.
Now I am following 7,500 people, and while I really enjoy that, Mastodon now prevents me from following anyone else.
I do not understand, why Mastodon would have such a rule. To me it seems very counterproductive to the whole concept of connecting with people from all over the world.
"The inquisition has arrived. Bring in the children for questioning!"
In Florida, a public school teacher of 10 year old kids is under investigation because she showed a cartoon movie to the pupils.
The movie is about science and exploring, but in the movie one of the characters is gay, and now the teacher has been reported to the state for violating the "Don't say gay" laws introduced under republican governor Ron DeSantis. #Florida#uspol
