Heavens FeelI saw Charade (1963) for my movie night because I wanted to enjoy the camera following around Audrey Hepbern for two hours. I'm still going through my backlog of older movies so I must admit I haven't watched all her movies but she's good in the ones I've seen her in - very charming and cute in what seems to be a genuine way. Unfortunately we don't get many characters like the ones she played today. The plot of the film (no major spoilers) concerned itself with stolen money, her dead husband, and a number of dangerous people out to retrieve the money from her, willing or not. Cary Grant was in the film, and despite the age difference between the two, I was very happy when things worked out between them in the romantic department, as things used to in old Hollywood movies when they still had that magic.
Final rating: There are also some neat suspense elements that can be Hitchcockesque, but this is not a taut thriller. If you like sweet older movies, this is a pretty solid choice. image.png image.png image.png
@nozaki@CatLord I'll talk about it with actual fans, not tourists. Actual fans, unlike tourists, have seen lots of series and movies, and actual fans don't hate sexy female characters or moe or standard anime tropes. They like anime because it's weird and crazy and not like Hollyweird wokeslop.
@Suzu@Kyonko802@LoliHat We used to get absolutely crazy stuff like Project A-ko, Devil Hunter Yohko, etc. that were full of fanservice. Unapologetic and sometimes very sudden fanservice too. This new show looks to be insane in that classic way so I'll definitely be getting it once the blu-ray rips are on the internet. image.png
