@mikeTesteLinux That is true; they did fight back against the FBI when it came to encryption. However, in certain countries, they give in to government pressure. That is why I said, the rabbit hole goes deep ;) Ha!
FYI, I'm sharing the link to the Apple guide. I have yet to read the whole document. The first page gives a good impression, but anyone who has worked in the security and privacy sector knows the rabbit holeย always goes deep. The attack vector is large. So, take my post with a grain of salt and research the privacy, safety, and security of your data or your loved ones.
Private Cloud Compute Security Guide by Apple https://security.apple.com/documentation/private-cloud-compute/ Apple definitely stands out in this era of privacy and AI, where most cloud computing and AI/LLM companies abuse your personal data to maximize profits. It is not just corporations. There is growing abuse by governments worldwide where they buy citizens' private health and travel tracking data without following proper procedures. I hope other corporations like Google and Meta will now up their game, but I don't have hope.
Hofstadterโs law tells us: โIt always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadterโs Law.โ
That is how I feel when I'm working on project. I thought I will fix it by last Friday. Tomorrow is a new Friday, and seven days later, I'm still in a 'lost at sea' kind of situation.
True fact: Every time you successfully execute a #Linux command in the terminal, Linus Torvalds personally receives a notification and adds a tiny penguin sticker to a giant wall in his office. He's running out of wall space.
Linux Pro Desktop from the mid-90s. See the Linux kernel version! It had everything installed. The charter of WGS #Linux Pro was different from all other distributions in the late 90s. They were actively pursuing penetration into the commercial marketplace for Linux. Everything they did was aimed at increasing the size of the Linux community and helping Linux to become the one true operating system, not just an operating system. Sadly, it failed its mission, but they did try #opensource#history
There's a special place in hell reserved for those who unleash spam or DDoS attacks on non-profits and independent #Mastodon instances. It's like kicking puppies in a digital playground. These instances are often lovingly nurtured by individuals in the community spirit, offering a refuge from the Big Tech. Why anyone would want to rain on their parade with spam or try to knock them offline with a DDoS attack is beyond me. It just doesn't make any sense. Also, donate to your instances if you can.
