People say that because it's an open world crime game, but Saints Row was always about growing your gang and gaining territory. Subsequent sequels sought to distance the series from GTA comparisons by becoming wackier but Saints Row 1 and 2 are not that ridiculous (or as ridiculous). Ironically, I'd say GTA V is a lot wackier than Saints Row 2.

There are some bands where i enjoy the music but disagree with their politics. One example is Rise Against. They're pretty cringe these days but sometimes their lyrics overlap well with the current sentiment.
