@mntmn to be honest the main reason I switched my career from doing hardware to software was that the expense of buying hardware components is too high. And I've been living in single rental rooms so I can't set up a home lab.

@mntmn hello minute, this reminds me, I once talked about China Unicom support with you, and it seems that em05 supports China Unicom. I found this on the local online store, does it look like something that can be plugged into the pocket reform?

@mntmn yes I did. It turns out to be bigger than I expected, but I am amazed by its modularity and think it'll be a wonderful device to have.

@mntmn An internal mic is still more convenient. I for one, don't carry earphones around, as my phone doesn't even have a jack.

@mntmn btw, how is the mic quality of pocket reform? I have a StarBook from StarLabs, it's good overall but the mic is dreadful.

@mntmn thanks for replying. I'm not familiar with the phone modem. But according to the web search, China Unicom uses B40, B41 and Em05 has these listed. Is this a standard piece of hardware? I could save some import tax by ordering it locally.
