I've been biting my tongue for fear of appearing centrist on this issue.
Here's what gets me:
It is possible to accept that yes, Trump would be worse for Gaza, yes it is a two party system so on voting day it's best to hold your nose and vote Harris..... AND to understand that voting is sometimes less important than street power, and that pressure before the election is worth much more than after, so we have to hold their feet to the fire NOW.

@feditips I'm ambivalent about the fact that the emoji set for mastodon.social makes it look like some tiny unmaintained instance where the one admin just dragged and dropped whatever was in their recents

@aral possibly irrelevant but when I was a new immigrant without much credit history I was able to get a mortgage with one of the smaller non-bank lenders paying an extra 2.5% interest, then switch loans 9 months later to a normal bank once I had some payment history. Good luck man.

@aral one of my first thoughts when I joined fedi was "there should be a pact to only federate with instances below X" - had anything like that emerged or been proposed?
