    To add a bit into it, the main "problem" is the nyquist limit, cameras sensor has a limit on how small it can be and this is a physical limit, basically you get a bit of doppler effect on the surrounding pixels when you shot the photo.

    For example, the 48mpx sensor is over its limit and this is the reason why you get a bit of hazyness on the image when you zoom it, which is why some 12mpx cameras still beats in quality over other higher resolution cameras

    My 2 cents take is that it will change nothing. Most twitch streamers won't be able to hold a foot on youtube or any other alternative and vice-versa.

    I also think that this won't change anything. They underestimate the network effect of giant platforms like twitch and youtube have.
