@Suiseiseki @kumicota this is also a matter of greed. They're so greedy that they won't put better camera sensors on their phones and instead will make the photos literally illegible using horribly written software

To add a bit into it, the main "problem" is the nyquist limit, cameras sensor has a limit on how small it can be and this is a physical limit, basically you get a bit of doppler effect on the surrounding pixels when you shot the photo.
For example, the 48mpx sensor is over its limit and this is the reason why you get a bit of hazyness on the image when you zoom it, which is why some 12mpx cameras still beats in quality over other higher resolution cameras

I think apple puts decent sensors in, the problem is that there's only so much you can do with a few square centimeters of equipment
either turn on raw mode and accept that this kind of shot is going to look shitty, or throw down for a real camera
(another complaint is with the absolute state of point-and-shoots and how a $300 piece of dedicated hardware performs about as well as an iphone)
