@foo Coupled with my habit of buying packs of 4 or 8 identical ones so I have a store, it doesn't happen often.

More tricky was I bought a bunch of 5000K ones. I like the colour, between 6500K daylight and 2700K that's too yellow for my liking, but they're not so easy to find.

@splitshockvirus @eric @david It was still better than all the other integrated graphics options at the time. Intel integrated graphics from the early 2010s was a lot worse than a console.

My Mastodon timeline is distinctly non-chronological.

I think this is because of the whole broken server debacle.

The posts have the correct *timestamps* but 22h ago stuff appears mixed with 1h ago stuff, probably sorted by when it arrived on this server.

@lain @cjd @harblinger The Gemini thing is staggeringly stupid, but Google's search is getting worse too. So perhaps generalised corporate rot has set in?

@splitshockvirus It's a good idea to have it checked out, but don't panic - nerve stuff takes like 3-4 weeks to heal.

(I did something to my neck once and it was sore with restricted movement. The cure ended up being "don't mess with it" for about a month.)

@splitshockvirus Yeah but definitely see a doctor/specialist when you can.

For now you might want to soak your hand in warm water occasionally to relax the muscles (muscle tension can trigger a bunch of other issues) and obviously watch out for bad ergonomics, don't over-use that hand with phones and computers, take breaks, etc.

@coolboymew @lamp It turns out under the "hood" of the cooker, the plug for those spiral elements was just held in by a flimsy metal clip. Someone had tried to force an element in and broken the clip so the plug was lying around in some random place.

@lamp @coolboymew The cooker in my rental was kind of like that when I arrived, two of elements were shoved in at random angle and not making contact
