@EdBoatConnoisseur @Whitewall_Blasphemy @WashedOutGundamPilot Pis are far over-priced based on brand recognition. It used to be that you could get an early-age IoT *plug thingy for $30 or so, root it into a full computer, and get all the advantages of an rPi without having to deal with their fanbase.

All those companies have probably stopped making hardware and shifted to SaaS, though, if they haven't gone out of business entirely.
