Its simple though for this idea, if 70-80 million trumpers really exist and are pissed, and they buy only necessities, in month 2 the Fed says "no problem, we'll print money and inject it to businesses low on revenue"
By month 4 its over for them. The companies they lend to do nothing but make payroll (and some even lay people off) aka the printed money no longer is being used at the same rate and is essentially zero value. The fed has no other trick up their sleeves besides interest rate manipulation.
If 50% of the country has stopped 60% of their spending, interest rates won't matter either. They'll make negative interest rates (pay institutions to take money just to try anything). That's month 5-6. Its the final nail in the coffin.
Meanwhile, during months 3 and 4 the blacks get nervous and uppity. They have a single income household and they'll be the first to be laid off. EBT card is now the only income. So long 2005 Nissan Altima you're paying $900 a month for because of your 250 credit score.
This is also the time when the political class will try yo blame their enemies. But this isn't a visible protest. No one is carrying a sign. No one has gathered anywhere. You can't prove anyone is doing anything. And what are you going yo do, demand people go shopping?
George Bush said that after 9/11 and we all fell for it. And thats because the govt saw a possible reduction of about 7-10% lower economic activity and knew the country would collapse.
If 70-80 million boomers did necessities only and kept their wallet shut, that's a 34% reduction in economic activity overnight.
Just realize that the people that scream about change know this is possible and refuse to do it because they're comfortable. So its slavery for the rest of us.

I watched two dudes in a GC with a few of the most influential people around explain this (one of the explainers is a fairly well known economist in his field but not the cable TV areas) and they both explained
