Compound Fraxure (compoundfraxure@poa.st)'s status on Sunday, 19-Feb-2023 07:34:04 JST Compound Fraxure @WashedOutGundamPilot @JedKron1248 I'd still argue that from a purely technical standpoint, Signal has a slight edge since their protocol and apps are open source, whereas Telegram's aren't. They're both ultimately still centralized services that require your phone number to sign up, though.
I really only use Signal for messaging normie friends though, especially since it can be used to send SMS as well (for now, at least) and it's the easiest way to switch normies away from SMS (which is by far worse than everything else). And because I already registered my real phone number with my real name on Telegram and I don't want to buy a burner phone number. -
