    I've been using obsidian for 1 month and I can finally break my dependence on org mode files I think. I'm not gonna lie this is like emacs but even better considering I can have the EXACT same setup separated by profiles on all devices - even a phone. And just having it all checked into a git repo I'm self hosting is a dream. I can put all my sensitive info in there and not worry about it getting caught, and I'm using git-lfs for images like a good boy.

    Emacs is still better for all around editing, but my always open notes editor is officially obsidian.

    I've been using nixos for a year now and I'm finally considering going back to debian, and just using different ways to manage configuration and installed programs. Basically just moving to an ansible and gnu stow workflow instead.

    I'm just getting a tad over using "Linux - but different" when I could be improving my standard linux knowledge even more. Every few months I realize how little I knew, and learning on nixos is not the way to go.

    I'll probably keep it around for some specific use cases I love it for, mostly set it and forget it servers. But I'm beginning to think using the most hipster OS possible may not be the best idea in the long run.

    @adiz Debian is what I cut my teeth on learning linux. That and ubuntu, so every time I think of what I could be using I always fall back to that. Debian has to be the most comfy distro that exists. I haven't actually tried opensuse, I've heard pretty much only good things about it.

    They definitely get better with each release, albeit when compared to a game like baldurs gate 3 it obviously pales in comparison. I still think cyberpunk wizards a cool enough novelty to love the games though. Combat is fun as hell.
