@ponapalt It seems this information made it into my YAYA guide as well, apparently I didn't vet it properly :meow_thinking: I should have checked that too, so it's on me as well.
I'm still planning to go through and do some work on AYAYA when I have time, I'll try to test stuff and note any discrepancies that I find
Am I misremembering how RAND works, or is the documentation on AYAYA wrong...? I thought if you put in RAND without an argument, it would generate numbers up to the integer limit :meow_thinking:
I tested it on a ghost with an older version of YAYA too, and it seems to be behaving the same there...
@ponapalt I've always had trouble with SAORI Basic because there's a noticeable delay (maybe 500-1000ms) when they are executed, and it makes them unsuitable for various tasks :meow_thinking: I've always wondered if it's due to going through the proxy SAORI. Is there a way to run them in YAYA that avoids the delay?
hi it's me, i'm making calendar skins 😂 There've been a fair few people in the English community wanting the calendar feature to be updated (although, a lot of those have been prospective devs who never end up actually publishing anything)
I understand if the calendar is too old and goes away 🤔 but we definitely see some use of it here
@ponapalt I see... so with collisions, it saves processing time to only handle the topmost one, since anything underneath doesn't matter anyways 🤔
Is there no sort order option for elements? I had thought elements were the only ones to be processed based on position in the file, but if collisions work with and without sort order, it makes me wonder if elements do too...
Despite having been the one to translate the surfaces.txt page of Ukadoc, I've only just now realized that by default, collisions are like elements, and don't follow a sorting order... it's just based on the order they appear in the file.
Except that, unlike elements where the ones that appear first in the file are on bottom, with collisions the ones that appear first are on top???
This year we had a total of **24 ghosts** submitted, by **36 participants**! The number of overall ghosts continues to hold steady, while the number of people joining the event has increased!
Of the submitted ghosts, **5** completed the 72 Hour challenge (with multiple ghosts being submitted a day or more before the 72 hour deadline!), **10** completed the Add an Extra challenge, and **12** completed the New Assets Only challenge. We saw many wonderful interpretations of the optional **celestial** theme, as well!
Once again, we've seen a huge variety in the styles of ghosts released, and many new and interesting angles explored! Please give every single one of them a try if you can, I promise it will be worth your time.
The full list of ghosts is available on Tumblr, or on the event's website. Please check them out and show the devs some appreciation!
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us! This event couldn't happen without so many people joining, inviting their friends along, supporting each other, and encouraging others along the way.
If you would like to help us continue to improve the event, we have a feedback form again this year! If you can spare a few minutes to fill it in, that information helps us greatly as we adjust things for next year's event. https://forms.gle/4BTaaYqbQHbf7cWJ8
@ponapalt I've got it loaded up again, just trying to determine the cause. It looks like it was not an infinite loop this time, it might have been because I was trying to edit the variable file... but I've never had it freeze before after editing that file
something about my jam ghost is causing SSP to freeze and crash when it tries to load in... that's probably not good with only ~27 hours left before the deadline 🫠
There are just 2 hours remaining if you want to qualify for this challenge.
Don't forget to leave yourself time to test that your ghost boots properly on a fresh install, time to make your .nar file, and time to fill in the submission form!
**As a reminder, there is no grace period if you miss the end of the 72 hour window,** so don't delay!
You can now begin working on your projects. Good luck! 🥳
If you're participating in the 72 hour challenge, make sure you've got the countdown timer for the end of the challenge handy, to avoid timezone troubles!
**There is no grace period if you miss the end of the 72 hour window,** which ghosts completed the challenge will be determined by the timestamps on the submissions. 3 days will fly by quickly, so don't miss it!
Hi! I run the Ukagaka Dream Team (English ukagaka community), and I make a lot of ghost things! I only speak English, but I'm happy to communicate with machine translation if need be.
