@sun @kravietz @feld signal just freaks me out a little bit because you need to sign up with your phone number. Session is the better choice if you're looking for privacy. They literally can't give out that information because they don't have it, whereas Signal has complied with orders and given numbers before iirc. Could just use a burner phone or something but, you know, still.

Tor is funded by the government but they use it too, it's in their best interest to keep it as safe as it is. They don't need to do anything crazy to catch people with bad opsec (dread pirate Roberts for instance) and most of the time they're just using honeypots anyway (like those "hire a hitman" services), not that the network itself is compromised. As long as you don't have an entire string of government connections then you're good, and if you're really concerned then you can always use a new connection on every site. Someone going to those lengths probably has a lot more shit they need to worry about lol.

@xianc78 Yeah, I'm not a really big fan of shilling, I only bring up the game when it makes sense. I'd also rather not post the game on places I don't plan on being at least somewhat active. I'm on RPGCodex, I still need to post my game thread there though so thanks for the reminder! I've also got it on RPG Maker Web and RPG Maker Net, which are obviously very much geared toward RPG Maker games and where I expect to get the majority of my players.

Thumbnail could be that painting of the main antagonist. It's mysterious, cloaked, dark, and he has a wicked almost cheshire-like grin.
Then the title could be something along the lines of "I spent 9 years making this game..." or "This game took nearly a decade to make..."
I'd set up a script to talk about the game and its development in a sort of dramatic but historical way, make the video at least 10 minutes. Basically like a little documentary about how the game came to be.
I see a lot of videos like this from random channels being recommended to me all the time. Their other videos will have a much lower view count comparatively.
Think it could be a viable strategy.

@xianc78 yeah they are kind of like 3d point and click adventure games. You still have to walk around and some some puzzles and stuff it's not JUST pushing buttons when they pop up. It's been a while since I played it, but I wanna say that Beyond Two Souls actually does have some combat in it too... Maybe if you're playing as Aiden or something. And yeah like I said, they're not necessarily good games, but I still enjoy them.

@xianc78 i understand that line of thinking, but i still consider them games. just like the telltale games. there are tons of different outcomes based on your decisions and reactions, so i'd say that's enough to consider it a game. i think it also helps that it's all rendered in real time instead of being pre-rendered or live action. makes it seem more like a game than if you were, say, deciding what happens in a live action movie with a bunch of other people in a theater.

is it bad i kinda like david cage games? i mean they're not great, but there is something about them that hooks me and always has.

@xianc78 they're both good if done right, but you can make so much more high quality stuff with different characters in the same world since they'll react to the world differently. the first one can be done really well too if it is the same characters in a different setting.

Kids obviously choosing their own outfit is always hilariously adorable :lul: nothing matches, the layers don't make sense, but they're having a good time.
