@luithe@matty it's amusing to me how the nu-gamer will defend every retarded mechanic but tank controls are just too far. it's a strong filter, get gud and it's great.
@Xenomorph@MK2boogaloo@Netoraremancer looking forward to seeing how all the environments look, there's little callbacks but it's also quite new. the only nitpick is that the combat isn't as hard as the first, even if the Quake 2 style felt aggravating at times. but that was always going to be the part i needed to adjust to anyway, so we'll see if i end up liking it.

WhiteExoditepeople have talked about Skibidi Toilet a lot, but i don't think people have really reasoned what its success represents. "kids are dumb" can only cut it so much, because kids are naturally inquisitive and want to be challenged emotionally and intellectually. and if something like a gmod series can reach the heights it has, that means there has been a complete failure on the part of the entertainment industry to compete. not that there hasn't be exceptions, but just about everything out currently is about belittling the viewers and treating them like infants. we see zoomers constantly chasing the newest ARG or lore-focused game because in those instances there is an actual moment of sincerity, and kids today crave something real. Skibidi Toilet treats itself with more respect than Marvel movies, and unfortunately for children that is what is being offered to them and both options are going to invite scorn from their elders whose only advantage is being born early enough to have better options. the Amazing Digital Circus is in a similar boat, and in this case the creators have talked about how they're deliberately trying to fill the void between infant cartoons and adult animation, something that is actually for children of ages 6-12. and guess what? they're getting massive success and are proving that there is desperate need for this kind of thing. the zoomers and gen A are being thrown to the mud and they're looking for a lifeline.

WhiteExoditemillenials are the boomers of the arts. they grew up in an era where movies and games were amazing and then ruined it all as soon as they took control, all while feeling smugly superior to the following generation who has to sit through the latest remake of a 40 year old movie. then they moan about kids watching Skibidi Toilet as if anything they're making for that demographic isn't complete dogwater. not to mention they look down on the mental health crisis as if they didn't all fake depression to get attention ten years ago.
