@x50fb4e8c I understand that not everyone is always engaged on their social media accounts on a week by week basis. I also do not care to defend how NAS handled the migration of their userbase since they first announced noagendasocial shutting down back in January.

I just wanted to clarify that the original NAS server going down was planned and not part of an outage.

@x50fb4e8c yes, there are several users that did not care to migrate to the new NAS instance. But everyone @noagendasocial was given several weeks notice to decide whether or not to move to eriner’s new server before being shut down for good.

@EscBoy the only people that would be able to see those comments are the people from that moderated server.

@flashre @EscBoy I’m pretty lax with moderation and I even allow artists with self identified paraphilias here on baraag. But when it comes to discourse surrounding RL pedophilia, I choose to limit (not block) their ability to message the users here on our instance.

I understand your disappointment that comments from users on such moderated servers are hidden but it’s solely a matter of keeping us alive because such discourse invites abuse reports that threaten to shut this art community down.

@flashre @EscBoy to be clear, I do not block any other servers from being able to see your work. But I do limit interactions from servers that are centered around MAP advocacy and pro-contact with RL children.

If pawoo limits baraag, that is out of my control. That is the doing of pawoo staff and only they have the power to lift it.

@Sharkjumper that would be a major blow to Japanese artists that make a living from selling loli/shota content. You would see a massive purge of products on fantia, DMM, DLsite, etc. The adult industry in Japan would be reeling from no longer being able to sell loli branded onaholes.

@Sharkjumper @Essiecks yes, the origin of Japanese censorship of porn is reflective of early western ideals but the rules stuck despite the US undergoing its own sexual revolution from the 60s through the 70s.

Today the climate around censored loli/shota remaining legal in Japan is seen more as a compromise with the rising feminist movement and particularly the Japanese minority Communist Party that has the “eradication of child pornographic art” as one of its political planks.
