What you can redeem it for is another matter. End of day that’s what is important.
Did it cost me $1.50 or $2 per $1 that’s what is real. -
SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 22:41:26 JST SlicerDicer @Zerglingman Depends on what you consider fluctuations. My first iteration of adult life was all based on exchange rate on what the dollar means.
They flux yes but under normal conditions it requires margin and trading on 10th of penny to make anything. I need not remind you of the risk involved there. -
SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Saturday, 28-Oct-2023 22:36:40 JST SlicerDicer How bout that btc?
What a show. I know how to call it for sure now.
Trepidation? That’s kinda the speed of my BTC till recently. I had to understand the fundamentals to predict what would happen with accuracy +/- 10%.
I can work with that, going back to BTC at 64k I sold my holdings 3 days before collapse. I projected 6k btc. Run the math that’s 10% off. I had been barking how it would.
It didn’t quite collapse as much as I thought. There was some odd world events that allowed that. Unforeseen.
That said? BTC is going to 11t total value, mind it on what that means.
I’ve spoken publicly about it now.
*this is not investment advice, it’s the ramblings of a autistic madman if you lose your ass? We lose our ass together. Enjoy being assless. 100% loss is possible and all that. Mind your shit. -

SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Friday, 13-Oct-2023 00:18:50 JST SlicerDicer > abolish capitalism
This solves nothing as capitalism is the driver that has made me be most productive in creativity and competition.
To say greed, profit is bad? That removes part of our DNA as unacceptable. That is not how evolution of limited resources to abundance works. With that concept it becomes clear that "without limits" is the problem not the system itself.
Limited resources always will escalate price. Show me one system that does not exploit this with greed and profit. It does not exist. -
SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Friday, 13-Oct-2023 00:17:43 JST SlicerDicer >> all of the world's problems would be solved if we could just enforce global communism.
The rational person would say to blend the elements of all that is needed for specific purpose would be far more objective.
Military is largely communist, NFL is too, MLB is capitalist, Central banking is socialism, goes on and on. To say one or the other is perfect is fucking stupid.
In fact NFL was largely successful from the communist aspect of making them all the same experience and distributing glory. That makes it exciting where as baseball is who has the most money. NFL equally distributes and the loser gets first pick. -
SlicerDicer (slicerdicer@bikeshed.party)'s status on Thursday, 12-Oct-2023 23:58:04 JST SlicerDicer >> anything can become a religion of people let an ideology shape their entire world view.
I think that is disingenuous and blurs what things actually are further. Religion requires faith of the unseeable, you can see the results of communism or capitalism. At a macro level things are nothing of what they seem though. We ignore the things we do not want to admit and throttle the things that offend us.
That is where we need to have this be rational not irrational like religion since it governs so many lives. That is part of the problem.
