Email aliases are also under threat. Both GitHub and Apple don’t allow the use of email aliases when signing up for an account. Some lesser known aliases still fly but common ones get you a ban 🤬

@itsfoss I used LVM a few years ago when I experimented with Artix Linux, mainly because I found the snapshot feature useful. Nowadays I’m rocking BTRFS :sickmeme:

@nixCraft Using vim or emacs to edit a config file feels like using a nuclear reactor to boil water for tea. Nano is good enough, any other text editing job I prefer to use GUI tools; either GNOME text editor or VSCode 🤷♂️

@itsfoss I sort of get it, but what’s wrong with just using KDE. It’s got the taskbar and traditional start menu 🤔

@nixCraft Sometimes I find myself wondering what the world would be like if the billions wasted on shit like AI were instead used to improve things for everyone, like combatting climate change. But why do that when there’s money to be made 😑
