ACHTUN:germanB: Please read the bio for directions. Explicit directions and an explanation follow. The intent is to provide accounts for people that are on bae.st and that need somewhere to be for the time being and that want to be here.
:hackerhoodie2: The bot does not reply if you send the post as a DM. The post's scope has to be public or the bot ignores it.
:pinkwojak: The bot also does not reply to accounts created after the bae.st closure announcement on September 1. Please do not create accounts on bae.st just to get invites from the bot: it will not work.
:poolsclosed: The bot also does not reply to accounts that were marked as bots when I made the list, or accounts that were deactivated from this side.
:mycomputer: The bot was live-coded on the apotheosis stream ( https://fsebugoutzone.org/apotheosis ) in ed and the message was done as just one big line and that line came out somewhat unfriendly and I do not want to sound unfriendly but also did not want to tweak the line because ed is serviceable but it is also sometimes inconvenient.
:otacon: The source code for the bot is attached. There's no magic or anything: I made a list when I started writing the bot, I put the list into an SQLite3 DB, the bot consults that DB for an invite link, it creates that link if it doesn't exist, and then it sends that link as a DM. The list was created by pulling account names from FSE's DB, excluding some account types: bots, accounts that were deactivated here, and accounts created after September 1. I missed some people, apparently; if I missed you and you believe this is in error, please try again or ping @p.
:lainstress: The bot also can be flooded with notifications, preventing it from seeing your post. It is a very simple bot.

I would like to resurrect FSE and start bae.st's apotheosis (:fse::oppaiheart::bae_st:) and my time (all of it except when I am eating or sleeping) is spent on either Revolver or hustling for cash so the more time I save repeating myself, the faster that happens.

All right, uploads are working again so I can upload the script if you missed the live-coding at https://fsebugoutzone.org/apotheosis in ed. Here is the script! It runs from cron every few minutes. Just a quick thing.
If you have a bae.st account (non-bot, registered before September 1, etc.) and tag this account publicly, it will send you a DM with an invite link. You can kick back in the bunker. (Some other instances ) The message came off a little unfriendly (angst in comments) but it was a long-ass line done in ed and I am lazy. Ping @p if it breaks, because all this bot does is send DMs if it gets notified.

#BaestfugeesWelcome. Some stuff here is broken, though, and I just shoot anyone that bothers me while I am hacking so, you know, I don't want to over-sell the place. Maybe some stuff is better. We do have nicer ssh BBS access (unless @j merged my patches, but I don't think they merge cleanly into mainline), I think we might be the only instance with RFC 1288 support, etc. A lot of stuff is missing (older Pleroma with security fixes backported and my idiot patches applied, EmojiReact is wiped from the earth, pinned posts are kill, and I think we are the only currently maintained Pleroma instance with no Gleason code, which may be a benefit depending on your perspective), I added some useless stuff, etc. FSE is weird, but it's always been weird.
When bae.st's conversion to Revolver is done, Revolver is still unpolished so it is a good idea to have an alt *somewhere*. Even if fedi is becoming immortal, we still have some bugs and missing features and the site might be unstable or unusable; I broke uploads by forgetting to migrate the ID Index Orthogonality Table before switching to a new build. (I ended up fixing it by adding a feature that I needed to add anyway to merge indexes but it took a couple of hours to migrate to the new bucket size.) When the Apotheosis of FSE is done, freespeechextremist.com will pop back up. bae.st's apotheosis will start soon but actually launching it will be somewhat more coordinated because it's still live.
