Sometimes you just need to stop and enjoy the simple things in life.
Like a dual channel signal generator sweeping an input to an analog oscilloscope displaying in XY mode.

My NexDock keyboard is not amazing, so I can't vouch for it on that merit.
UI design is my pa...
Alright, yeah. The future is absolutely going to be horrible.
I cannot launch this game, that I have previously played on this console, THAT IS ON A DISC, because I'm not signed in.

Wow this is lame, on a PS5 it's possible to update the system firmware without updating the controller in a way that makes them incompatible.
Sure, I can update my controller to fix this now. What about 20 years from now though?
I wonder if this is one way, and this controller won't be able to work with older firmwares after updating? The future is terrible.
@foone Clearly the answer is that we need a C compiler that generates Factorio saves.
@foone My next video is about the origins of the 3.5in floppy which is why I'm curious about this. It predates the PC so it was doing its own thing. HP was actually the 3rd company to release a product using it.
@foone Yep, those are Sony drives from the early 80s too!
But I cannot figure out why they are that exact height which doesn't match anything else I can find. I'm guessing they predated any standard for the smaller drive bay.
Can confirm, sun go bye bye.
I imported a product from an alternate universe where IEEE 1394 won.
I give you, a firewire flash drive!
@foone I didn't actually know that was a thing...I do need one of those.
I have been using my 5160 here to piggy back on my VGA over CAT cable setup for remote video capture, but I got some HDMI over CAT adapters recently so I could still totally do that!
@foone I've got some computer monitors with BNC inputs, I wonder if there was ever a VGA card with outputs?
Sounds like it's time for a clone Voodoo 2 card with BNC!
Why do audio people get all the fun cables? Where's my "High Quality Coaxial Gold Plated Oxygen-Free Nylon Braided" MDA Cable?!
Huh, RSA is a lot older than I would have guessed. Now I kind of want to try generating my next pubkey on a 5150 since I know it's possible with this ad from PC Mag Jun 26, 1984!
