@MK2boogaloo @Shlomo Iran will reply, but it is unfortunate. Israel is winning the chess game. Israel needs escalation, not Iran.

@transgrammaractivist the text doesn't say that. It says for the Democrats losing the election would be like losing a war.
The 180° change in policy I too find optimistic, but the text doesn't present it as a future fact, rather as part of the current conversation that could influence both sides.

Trump: "When I get into office I will end the war in Ukraine immediately"
Everything points to his victory this year. Forcing geopolitical actors to scramble to prepare for this exact event.
And some people here still believe Trump will drag us into wars. Wishful thinking at this point.

@Fiddle I wondered about this recently. In the old world when you had people shunning society, they still had their servants, at least one, and some kind of relative checking in every now and then. Of if they were serfs, they had their animals to take care off, and some neighbor here and there. To be completely isolated was for monks going into the woods, living with the bears and stuff. Living alone today has none of these upsides, it's just doom and gloom and grey while everything falls apart outside.

Reminder that karaoke is not only a Japanese invention but an integral part of Japanese culture, just like singing and voice acting in general is. A very sound and healthy choice.
While singing has been degraded to vulgar fame and attention seeking in the Western world, singing in itself remains a crucial spiritual element for every human being. Not a coincidence most religious services make extensive use of the human voice. Just look at an Orthodox or Catholic liturgy for ample evidence.
What keeps you from making use of your voice, from singing? Singing has profound effects on the human mind and body, and karaoke offers an easy way to enter its world. Those outstanding voice actors from Japan didn't appear out of nowhere you know. A culture of connecting with one's God-given voice and using it stands behind it.

All signs point towards this being an authentic and deliberate assassination attempt by the "deep state." The powers in control do not want Trump, this even if they don't want Biden anymore either. The latter lost too much support, the former contradicts too many of their present and future plans.

Should people without kids who own pets be shamed?
The immigrant has 2-5 kids, the European/White American has dogs and cats. At what point do we start shaming these people?
-
@Tfmonkey That's a sleight of hand, a deception aimed to create a false moral dilemma between the survival of your people and the dignity of women.
Not education is the problem, but progressive liberal values. Both in the medieval Eastern Roman Empire and in medieval Japan literacy was widespread and yet there were no such issues prompted by female misbehavior. Not educating women is the issue, but liberal progressive egalitarian values (equal rights women, feminism, etc.).
Speaking of Japan. See how the introduction of progressive liberal values by the American occupation in post-war Japan sent Japan on a death spiral that is still ongoing.

the only reason ppl use Duolingo is convenience and ease of use. no one learned Japanese with Duolingo. and if he claims that he's lying.
unless the way a culture uses language to communicate is internalized, there is no chance to learn a language. no matter how much repetition. phrases and words out of context? good luck with that :02_laugh:

@lamp "japan moment" when the snarky Duolingo guy wrote this to show another "dark side of japan"
there's a trend among shitlibs to portray japan as undesirable as possible, bcs overwhelmingly homogenous and traditional (still)

It is worth repeating that the fable of the fall of Rome is revisionist propaganda to justify stripping all of Middle and Western Europe of Roman citizenship.
One could not have feudalism, where lords own serfs, with Roman citizens. Because Roman citizens had rights, and they were FREE.
This swindle began when German kings usurped Roman authority over conquered subjects in Central Europe, it began with Charlemagne.
In the East, the Roman Empire, continued until the fall of Constantinople. Until the end without feudalism, without serfs, but with Free Romans.

Of course we can say we want attractive women (or people in general) in our entertainment (I prefer to call it art) for simple reasons as we like to look at nice things. In the context of the current uglification of popular entertainment, in the name social justice, this argument does not only not sound very convincing, but is also open to several attacks, subversions, and inversion, due to its shallow nature, with the end result being "you're actually a really bad person for wanting this and your voice has been delegitimized."
Ideals in art usually represent the ideals of a people. Pagans knew that, on an earthly level (we don't talk about higher beauty yet, which requires the Christian perspective), Beauty represents Health, and therefore Life. When our art, our entertainment, is riddled with ugly people, it signals Sickness, and therefore Death, while upholding it as an ideal of our people, something to strive for. This is how the current uglification of popular art connects to the uglification cults of feminism and LGBT, which all eventually lead to the death of nations.
