@teknomunk this is of course what automated testing is supposed to fix. but somebody needs to write those tests, and that's not easy to do after the fact. automated testing also assumes you know how the software is going to get used. which you usually don't...

sometimes, this is how programmers fix bugs in software too

didn't apply disinfectant to Blizzard's stitches for a couple of days.

but got a good blob of hand sanitiser on it one day before i'm scheduled to visit the vet for Blizzard to have his stitches removed

and they look clean to me. i'm not seeing any signs of bacterial infections.

Blizzard's one-piece has been off for a couple of days. but i haven't heard him gnawing. he seems okay. there haven't been any complications with the wound. he mostly just seems happy with the attention he gets when i try to clean it, change his suit, etc. i think Blizzard has a healthy immune system.

"Honda Fitta" sounds like "hand cunt" in the Scandinavian languages

how did this happen?

well, if something is tight, it fits, and so the Scandinavians thought to name the female sexual organ according to that logic

it fits around you so it's a fitte/fitta.

the amount of choice you're offered as an adult is too much

i can do any crazy thing tomorrow and it's unlikely that anybody will stop me.

if it breaks the law, the police will arrive too late, and they'll resort to investigation.

i thought this place had rules but no. it's just people pretending that it has that.

well, here's an example

if i punch someone in the face and then leave quickly

how is that rule gonna be enforced? they don't know me. how will they find me? or who i was? the police wasn't there to see it. without enforcement, a rule is largely worthless. and the police rarely has time to enforce all the rules.

i was punched in the face once. i punched back. no police was around. to this day, the police doesn't know this happened. it was person vs person.

life is usually like that. mom or dad isn't coming to save you or offer advice. authority is a thin veneer over the realities of life.

another unpleasant truth: most people assume contracts count for something.

the reality is that contracts are completely worthless pinkie promises unless you can afford a lawyer to bring it to court, or otherwise force them to comply.

i'm not saying a promise is worthless. but a contract will not help to keep it true, unless the parties involved can use legal firepower to enforce it.
