    @nyanide @Forestofenchantment @PurpCat I haven't used it (I don't know where it is), but I think the hand-optimized bitmap fonts tend to be better than scalable TTFs, and all the new ones are scalable typefaces. Crisp edges instead of antialiasing.

    @nyanide @Forestofenchantment @PurpCat Terminus really irks me. They tried to make all of the letters square. I included that in that screenshot, it's less readable than the stupid OCR font.

    @nyanide @Forestofenchantment @PurpCat It is a font so old that it doesn't have a name besides "9x15".

    6x13 and 9x15 are the two best fonts for code and I will fight anyone. They come with X, Plan 9, I think they come with almost everything. Fixedsys, which came with Windows 3.1, is also nice, pretty readable, and you can use Fontforge to convert it to a TTF or PCF. I use Fixedsys as the alternative font in acme, and I have it set as my browser's font (with "let sites use other fonts" deselected: no fluoride in my pleasant text-reading experience).
