    I just watched a clip of a Vtuber sent by Lonestarr.
    And my problem is

    a lot of these just seem like female YouTubers. And obviously they are but what I mean is that they're just by and large obnoxious like them. I wish I could like them.

    To be fair I think Vtubing is going to lead to the further social homogenization of anime-related niche hobbies. I think it's just a gateway for the wrong people to enter through and make the things I like more horrible than they are now. But, I can't do anything about that.

    So it would not be too far a leap in opinion that a lot of Vtubers simply use anime and its resultant aesthetic to court the entry-level hobbyists then as they are entry-level hobbyists themselves, am I wrong?
