After the discovery of a racist account yesterday, @PSiReN went through other accounts on the instance and discovered the instance is a cesspit of racism, including constant use of the N word, and accusations that minorities are criminals.
Therefore Syzito.xyz is defederating from its first instance, @mugicha.club.
What is normal etiquette in these circumstances, should we ping their admin? #Mastodon#Admin#Fediblock
It seems almost all the instances run by developers of Fediverse software are blocked, which should raise questions.I'm being completely serious and unironic here: this is because these blocklists, and #fediblock in general, are terrorist tactics created and utilized by Mastodon (collectively) in order to sabotage and destroy the wider Fediverse which Mastodon does not have market-share nor ideological control over.
Mastodon hates the Fediverse---Mastodon wants monopoly over the entire network and wants it to all just be "Mastodon". Mastodon consistently refuses to even refer to the wider network or use terms like "Fediverse".
@waifu@adiz this is why i use the #fediblock hashtag to post pictures of random unrelated shit as freedom of feet does not mean freedom from consequences
Honestly that's what I love about the #fediverse. A group cannot be banned from the entire platform and if your in a decently moderated instance or self-host and use #fediblock (I think this might've changed to something else) you're free of those people.
Personally however, unlike Elon I actually am a free speech absolutist, and as such I don't use any curated Blocklist (I am the sole user of my server. If I had other people on the server it might be a different story). I just block people who I deem as spam, such as that user rapebot (I think the server was Detroit something). Most people haven't seen it because instance admins really are the unsung heros of the fediverse.
That being said, I don't see many crazy people like that unless they throw in #mastodon or #fediverse as most of my followed hashtags are tech related.
The fragile and childish users of Mastodon will finally be able to enter the soft embrace of a real world stuffed elephant to remind them of the cozy feeling they get inside whenever they #fediblock doing the dishes for the eighth day in a row.
