they refuse to allow Poast access to scan every user upload on the basis poast is "registered in canada" despite ALL of our user generating hardware being in the united states. we aren't allowed to use the biggest database of CSAM to scan our user uploads against because I'm Canadian and it's illegal for anybody to have a database of hashes to even provide a 3rd party free database of literal letters and numbers. you're not allowed to prevent CSAM materials without permission and if you try to you need to give the government every piece of your ID possible and be registered to do it.
CSAM is the #1 crime worldwide your government subsidizes this so does mine
The thing with BlueSky, why I find it boring, and why nobody even bothers to screencap it (unless they have an active KF account), is the fact that due to Bluesky's moderation policy (the rumored but not exactly written policy of you can get banned if the person you invited does) and the community on the site, you find yourself being very sterile and disengaged due to not wanting to piss off either the admins of the site or the mob on the site and get banned.
Essentially you find yourself acting as you would if say, you were on your work's Microsoft teams chat as opposed to a social media site.
Furthermore, the invite only system creates a very specific echo chamber. It seems as if someone there wants to curate a very specific community of some of Twitter's worst. But yet as nobody else can view your posts without an account, reach is limited to the echo chamber.
On Fedi, as long as you're not an idiot and making a profile with every account and alias you've ever had before posting some low-ESG content (or signing up with an email with your real name or that was used with 20 other hacked sites), the worst that happens is you're defederated from plural.cafe, mastodon.art, and freethought.online and added to the oliphant list. Furthermore, you can have others without an account see your posts easily.
I think Bluesky will die off aside from a few people who swear they won't go back to Twitter.
#1 breaks - batteries go into a landfill forever #2 breaks - damage is contained, we fix it because the entire planet isn't filled with Slavic retards who can't operate technology from the past 100 years lmao
Samus Aran (Metroid) VS Yuri (Doki Doki Literature Club)
The first match of the tournament will *probably* not be all that exciting, pitting the #1 Seed up against the #32 Seed, and with Yuri on top of that getting some quite negative pre-match buzz (it seems like her becoming the DDLC rep was quite unexpected, in addition to DDLC itself seeming quite divisive). Meanwhile, both Samus and her games are near universally beloved, and relatively recent additions like Metroid Dread and the excellent Metroid Prime 1 Remaster can only have further boosted the bounty hunter babe.
That said, there are still plenty of things to look out for:
Weirdness – anything other than a huge Samus win would signal that this contest is going to be very unpredictable, and that no character is safe even in the very first round.
Top Seed Hype – if Samus delivers an epic beatdown and gets something like over 80% of the votes, it will definitely put some pressure on the other high seeds and pre-contest favorites, and further establish Samus as the one to beat. Reimu especially will be watching, and be under pressure to at least put up comparable numbers in terms of percentages and vote totals when her match kicks off on Friday.
Rallying – will people already be attempting to mobilize support for their favorite girl in the first match, spread around her pictures and sing her praises, or will that just be reserved for the more competitive and contentious matches?
#TrumpIndictment 4. I suspect we know what those sets of docs pertained to, and they have everything to do w/ DOJ-FBI conduct in Russiagate.
Originating Spygate operations (’15-’16), Russiagate (’16-’17), Mueller (’17-’19), Impeachment #1 (’19-’20), Durham (’19-’23) and Jack Smith ’22-present, are all part of one long continuum of weaponized DOJ and FBI operations.

Christi JuniorNow that I’ve finally reached 1000 blocks, I think I’m gonna slightly dial back on terrorizing trannies and focus more on autistic gaming and anime fun. So for starters, let’s have a Fedi’s Favorite Vidya Girl Contest! I remember the VTuber tournament Poast had a while ago being really fun, and if anything I think more people here care about video game girls than VTubers (some video game girls even ARE VTubers, like Iono). My contest will also be a tournament, but a single-elimination one, modeled after the GameFAQs Character Battles of old.
But how to pick the girls that will participate? Simple, it will all come down to nominations - an individual user can nominate up to 3 girls, the #1 pick getting 3 Points, the #2 pick getting 2 points and the 3rd pick getting 1 point. The girls will qualify and be seeded based on how many Nomination points they get. No one is guaranteed a spot, not Tifa, not Samus, not even my precious Pyra, so you all have to vote for your favorites! If multiple girls end up with the same number of points, I’ll do a Tiebreaker poll to decide who makes it in, and if two girls that are qualified have the same number of points, their exact seeding will be randomly decided. I plan on this being a 16-girl tournament, but if I get enough nominations I might consider going for 32 instead. The nominations will be closed after around 24 hours. The actual contest polls will last 24 hours, one or two polls a day depending on the size of the tournament. Tiebreaker polls will be held if necessary.
As for the rules, it’s video game girls only, meaning female characters primarily associated with video games (so no Naruto or MHA girls just because they’ve been in some video game spinoffs). Girls from mobile games are allowed tho. Also, it’s video game *girls*, so no traps or futas. Also, it’s *girls*, not *whales*, so no fatties are allowed either. Monster Girls are allowed tho, as are Lolis. Whether you nominate and vote based on looks, personality, how much you like the game the girls are from etc is all up to you of course.
The reason why Windows ranks #1 on my blog is because it mainly focuses on IT and programming. If my blog was about lifestyle topics like yoga or clothing, I would expect to see more Apple iOS/macOS users in the top spot.
The 2023-2024 academic year will be the first full year where students have unlimited access to ChatGPT and other LLMs.
While it's easy to short-circuit AI use in the classroom or by requiring that they show their work on written assignments, it's harder to prevent its use, or use it effectively, in online assignments.
So I want to know: what's your best idea for an ONLINE assignment that either: (1) teaches them to use it effectively, or (2) asks them for something they can't easily produce with an LLM?
I'll go first!
For category #1, I ask them to have AI write a paragraph about a topic we studied in the module, and then have them fact-check each sentence with the assigned class readings. I also ask them to add one thing they learned about the topic that AI missed.
For category #2, since the pandemic I've added journaling to all my classes. I ask students to reflect on the content of that module using examples from their lives, their thoughts, or their lived experience. It's easy to tell if their response isn't personalized, meaning that they used AI to write it (not just improve it, which I am fine with).
You are playing dumb and wasting my time. This is a bad faith conversation just like the other guys were. I get it. You guys love the regime. You're zog's #1 fans. Message received.
@TomAintAroundhttps://now-zen.com/ what about one of these things? It dings once and waits 3m48s, dings again, and repeats more frequently until it forces you out of bed. The ding is a mechanical chime.
This is my #2 across the room. #1 is a normal alarm clock near the bed which I usually don't remember snoozing.
